Our philosophy for progress in this domain is based on 3 ideas in “offering more with less”.
PHILOSOPHY: “NEITHER MILITANT NOR OPPORTUNIST”
The company is not an NGO and does not have the vocation of a lesson-giver. This said, we do have a social and environmental responsibility especially towards our customers who are for the most part nature lovers who spend
time in the outdoors.
Our involvement on this issue is not opportunist-oriented as it has been a long-standing and organized concern
for the group; the promising results have been demonstrated in our eco-designed product lines.
ECO-DESIGN, A NEW TECHNOLOGY
Eco-design means finding ways to reduce the social and environmental impact when devising new products
throughout the lifecycle of the products. It means being innovative and being different. And it has implications for all of the products manufactured by the Group.
THE ECONOMIC ASPECT: A NEW IDEA OF VALUE
Our approach is a new assessment of value. We consume fewer materials, less energy and produce less waste
in manufacturing products that are long lasting, more versatile in use, safer and more comfortable. This improves
our productivity without compromising the well being of all involved.
Our commitment stems from a strong determination to integrate sustainable development into the company
strategy through:
- the support of specialized firms (O2 France, Ethicity),
- analyses and developments in partnership with technologically advanced organizations: CTC (French
Agency for Leather, Shoe and Leather goods industries), ADEME (French Environment and Energy
Management Agency),
- internal actions to raise awareness in order to mobilize all employees.
Basically, our approach to development can be resumed in 3 D's: Desirable, Durable, Different.
